The International School of Curitiba is an independent, non-profit, non-sectarian, coeducational college preparatory day school enrolling students from pre-toddler (18 months) through grade 12. ISC provides an educational program for the children of foreign families living and working in Brazil as well as for local Brazilian children and welcomes students of any nationality, belief or race.
Our school year starts in August and finishes in June (2010-2011 calendar), but our enrollment is open all year long. Acceptance to ISC is not automatic. All students aged 3 and above applying for a place at ISC are tested prior to being accepted to make sure they are placed in the grade level best suited for them. A recommendation regarding placement and acceptance is made by the division principal based on the test results, child’s age, previous grade level, and grades when applicable.
