STAR Report

The purpose of the Student-Teacher Achievement Results (STAR) and the Planning Report is to provide the ISC community with annual and cumulative information about our students’ academic performance.  We will also share our current annual goal setting results as part of our effort towards the continuous school improvement process.

The ISC Vision includes the Mission Statement, Vision Statement, Beliefs and Values Statements and Expectations for Student Learning and is the focus from which school decisions are made.

The Profile is a complete picture of the school, its demographics and academic performance. One facet of the Profile is the Student/Teacher Achievement Results Report.  The STAR Report aligns student achievement results with the Expectations for Student Learning. The STAR Report compiles relevant information on student performance from numerous areas, including but not limited to external assessment results – ERB-WrAP, ITBS, SAT, Portuguese Writing and IB scores, as well as internal assessment results, such as DRA. In addition, data is recorded on attendance, behavior referrals, Honor Roll, Grade Point Average (GPA), etc.

Even though described as two separate elements, Plan and Results particularly depend on one another. The school Plan(s) with Results in mind and uses Results to initiate a new Plan in an ongoing process. By looking at student performance data, we analyze the Results of our school-wide effort to meet our goals.

This is the second year for presenting the ISC STAR Report. Over the next few years we will be enhancing the report to include more comprehensive data and at the same time sharing these results with the community.
